ORIGINS

Ceravolo Story

Ceravolo Vineyards is a family-owned estate located in Ashton, high in the cool elevations of the Adelaide Hills. For more than 25 years, our family has crafted internationally awarded wines shaped by Italian heritage, a deep connection to the land, and a philosophy of food, hospitality and living well.

Our story begins in Calabria, in the south of Italy — a landscape of olive groves, citrus orchards and family tables When the Ceravolo family settled in Australia in 1952, they brought with them more than recipes and traditions.

In Ashton, they found a landscape that felt familiar. Elevated, in reach of the sea, Mediterranean in spirit — a place where Italian varietals could thrive alongside the refined cool-climate classics of the Adelaide Hills.

HERITAGE

Est. 1974

Heather and Joe Ceravolo established the original estate in 1974 at Ashton. Our home is nestled amidst cherry trees, figs and apple orchards. Horticulture and viticulture co-exist beautifully. Pictured is the Deep Creek Bridge which Heather had restored in 1992 as Mayor of the Adelaide Hills.

Across our range — Cortese, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir — we work with the varietals that best express both our Italian heritage and the cool, considered character of Ashton.
